Best Managed Company in All Ireland Awards Programme

Mivan, a global leader in luxury fit-out and marine outfitting has been named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies.

The announcement was made at a prestigious awards ceremony in Dublin last night. Mivan was one of only two Northern Ireland recipients in the New Best Managed Companies category.

The global awards programme is managed by Deloitte; with Deloitte Ireland hosting the second longest running programme after Canada. It is the only awards scheme on the island of Ireland that considers a business’ performance from every perspective, recognising excellence and exceptional management in these areas.

Mivan’s strong financial performance with £80m turnover in 2024; and a strategic plan to drive growth to more than £100m in the next three years, was a key factor in determining the recognition.

John Cunningham, said, “We are delighted to be recognised by Deloitte and the esteemed judging panel with this award. Mivan is a long-established name globally in the luxury fit out market. In recent years however, under the Rathbane Group ownership, it has truly established its place at the forefront of the land and marine fitout sectors.

He continues, “We’re focused on maintaining this momentum, and aiming for even greater success. This is very much a team award and a reflection of the hard work and passion our people bring to work every day. As we grow, we’re excited to welcome new talent to our team and collaborate with individuals who share our commitment to excellence and innovation.”

Companies competing for this award must have a turnover in excess of €25 million/£21 million. With a rigorous assessment of performance, management practices and goals, as well as reviewing innovation and sustainability credentials, this award encourages businesses to challenge and benchmark themselves against the best in Ireland.

Mivan, headquartered in Antrim in Northern Ireland is part of the locally owned Rathbane Group, comprising MJM Marine, Topglass, NTS and Rathbane Holdings. It currently employs 250 people and continues to grow, with the company actively seeking talented individuals to join their team to contribute to its ongoing success.
