Galgorm Castle Welcomes The NI Open 2024 Presented By Tom McKibbin

In an exciting start to the year for golf and Northern Ireland, up-and-coming homegrown superstar Tom McKibbin will present the NI Open hosted by Galgorm Castle in July 2024. The free-to-attend event promises to deliver some exceptional golf and will feature great players from all over the world!

“We have a great summer of tournament golf to look forward to and the NI Open is an exciting opportunity for golf fans to witness some of the game’s leading players” Tom McKibbin

The NI Open was first played at Galgorm in 2010 and has since become one of the standout events on the Challenge Tour. In 2016, McKibbin experienced his first taste of professional golf by playing in the NI Open as a 13-year-old.

McKibbin is now Galgorm’s Touring Professional and is delighted to feature in what will be an exciting week for golf in Northern Ireland. Following his first DP World Tour win last year, the 21-year-old is set to play at Galgorm Castle Golf Club on Tuesday 23rd July 2024 in the NI OPEN PRO-AM.

This year, the tournament coincides with a gap in the DP World Tour schedule and ensures a strong field for fans to enjoy! With McKibbin describing it as “one of the hardest courses they’ll play all year”

The family-friendly event will take place at the prestigious Galgorm Castle Golf Club. Galgorm has proved to be an outstanding venue with previous success hosting the DP World Tour’s Irish Open in 2020. As well as the more recent ISPS HANDA World Invitational which featured a total prize pot of $3 million split amongst the field of both men and women – a first of its kind event!

The NI Open will be played over four days and will also feature the NI Open Junior Championship. Full itinerary can be seen below:
