Team members from Ulster Bank are participating in a UK-wide baton relay to raise funds for charity in the run up to Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Local charities including the NI Hospice, NI Children’s Hospice, Northern Ireland Pancreatic Cancer (NIPANC), Women’s Aid, Church Mission Society Ireland (CMSI) and Abaana Ministries will benefit from the funds raised.
Seven Ulster Bank team members collected the baton in Larne after it disembarked the ferry from Scotland, before cycling to Carrickfergus and onto Belfast.
The baton is then making its way by ferry to Liverpool before passing through north west England, crossing the Pennines, and heading south through the Midlands, Wales, the south west of England and London to its final destination at Folkstone.
Ulster Bank’s parent bank NatWest is an official Team GB partner. Team members from across the bank are participating in the relay which began in Edinburgh before passing through Glasgow on its way to Northern Ireland.
The event will involve around 300 bank colleagues and see thousands of pounds raised for charities.
